Artificial intelligence has been considered as the brain of The Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). Over the last decade, deep learning has emerged as state-of-the-art artificial intelligence methodology. Deep learning has achieved a remarkable success in many real-world applications from computer vision, natural language processing to cyber security.
In this course, students will learn some state-of-the-art deep learning techniques and their useful applications in cyber security. The course contentsrange from some basic algorithms in machine learning and anomaly detection as well as basic tools such as Python, Scikit learn and TensorFlow (Google's most popular deep learning framework) keras to the recent advanced techniques in deep learning (convolutional neural network, recurrent neural netwotk, auto encoder and generative models). In particular, the course focuses on the applications of deep learning in variour problems in cyber security including: Intrusion detection, web attack detection and malware detection.
