Assoc.Prof. Le Duc Hau obtained PhD degree in Bioinformatics from University of Ulsan, Republic of Korea. From 2003 to 2009, he was working at Thuyloi university, Vietnam as a lecturer. After finishing his PhD course in 2012, he went back to Thuyloi university as a researcher in Bioinformatics. From 2012 and 2015, he serves as vice director of IT center and head of Dept. of Computer Engineering and Networks, respectively. In 2015, he was promoted to associate professor title in Information Technology. From late 2016, he becomes a Bioinformatics specialist at Vinmec Research Institute of Stem Cell and Gene Technology, Vingroup, Vietnam. In 2013, 2014 and 2016, he was a visiting scholar of Complex Systems computing Lab - University of Ulsan - Korea, Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics – Vietnam and Bioinformatics Institute - Ghent University – Belgium, respectively.
He has been published more forty papers in well-recognized journals and conferences, fourteen of those are in ISI-indexed journals.
He has been a member of program committees of several international conferences. In addition, he serves as a reviewer of some international journals such as Bioinformatics (Oxford University Press), OMICS: A Journal of Integrative Biology (Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. publishers), Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (Elsevier), Current Genomics (Bentham Science), Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, etc... In parallel, he is a principal investigator and a key member of some national/ministry-level projects on prediction of disease-associated biomarkers and drug-targets.
