Dr. Nguyen Quang Uy received his PhD degree from University College Dublin, Ireland in 2011. Currently, he is the senior lecturer at Le Quy Don Technical University. Dr. Nguyen is widely recognized as one of the main contributors to the development of semantic method in Genetic Programming. He is author and co-author of more 40 publications in Genetic Programming, machine learning, artificial intelligence and related areas. He has about 10 years of doing research in artificial intelligence, machine learning in general and Genetic Programming in particular.
With his colleagues, he has applied artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to a large number of problems including anomaly detection for online games, time series forecasting, credit card fraud detection, text classification and summarization, topic modeling, malware detection and recognition, face detection and recognition from camera, etc. His research interest includes Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Evolutionary Algorithms and Genetic Programming.
